A Soulful Journey Through the Côte d’Azur
Just like a true traveller, this time I chose to set aside the noise of the world and follow my heart. Ignoring the current geopolitical uncertainties, I boarded a flight and arrived in the sun-kissed paradise of Nice.
There was a quiet longing within me—not for the usual landmarks, but for the lesser-explored coastal villages of the enchanting Côte d’Azur. And so, I made Nice my base—more precisely, a beautiful corner apartment overlooking the iconic Promenade des Anglais, where the Mediterranean shimmered endlessly under the golden sun.
This time, my journey was different. It was slower, deeper, and far more personal.
I explored many villages along this coastline—but a few of them carved a permanent place in my heart. Today, I share one such unforgettable experience with you.
Antibes – Where Art Meets the Sea
My journey led me to the charming coastal town of Antibes—a place where time feels beautifully suspended.
Antibes is not just another Riviera destination; it is a town steeped in art, history, and soul. It is famously associated with the legendary artist Pablo Picasso, who spent a significant part of his life in France and revolutionized modern art as the co-founder of Cubism.
As I walked through the town, I could almost feel his presence lingering in the air.
Perched dramatically on a cliff, the Picasso Museum stands as a quiet tribute to his genius. Overlooking vast stretches of deep blue waters dotted with colorful sailing boats, the setting itself feels like a living canvas.
The view is nothing short of mesmerizing—where art, history, and nature blend seamlessly.
A Walk Through Time
Strolling through the narrow cobblestone streets of Antibes felt like stepping into a medieval dream. Every turn revealed hidden cafés, ivy-covered walls, and sunlit alleys whispering stories of the past.
There was no rush. No noise. Just the gentle rhythm of life unfolding.
The old town, with its rustic charm and timeless elegance, invites you to slow down—to pause, observe, and truly feel the destination.
And This Is Just the Beginning…
While Antibes has already left an indelible mark on my heart, this journey along the Riviera has so much more to offer.
